I have been on the

I have been on the subscription for several months now and get a new bag of coffee every couple of weeks. If you like trying different coffees and appreciate FRESH coffee, this is a great choice. There is always a great variety of coffees that get sent to me, and I believe that 8&R really tries to send out roasts that they have faith in. I am always sent a good balance between some of the cheaper and more expensive coffees that they offer, which is greatly appreciated! As a bonus.. You may get coffee that is not even available online! I just received (today) a bag of Worka Sakaro from Gedeb, Ethiopia as part of this subscription.. It is definitely my inspiration for this review. I think it is the best coffee I have been able to make at home, like holy **** good. (Please make this available soon!)

On a more personal level, I feel as though I have been able to grow as a coffee-lover since being a part of this sub. Buying a bag at a time and making coffee at your home is a great way to explore the different roasts in ways that you might not be able to at a coffee shop. I have additionally been able to explore the different regions which has given me a much stronger opinion around which coffees I like most, and which coffees I would rather order in a coffee shop.

Anyways, do it!

Thanks for all the coffee, Max! Cheers from Lebanon, TN

single origin coffee comes from a specific geographic region, or in 8th & Roast’s case, a farm or family of farms. this allows for a dialed-in flavor profile that carries the trademark of the area  where  the coffee was grown, with elements like climate, elevation,  and soil as factors. blends are created when our roasters combine coffees of a different origin and/or process  in a deliberate way, creating a unique flavor profile.

our roasting facility and training lab is located in the heart of Nashville at 2637 grandview ave. while it is not open to the public on a daily basis, it is where we host our community classes.

we offer classes occasionally, with topics ranging from ‘coffee 101’ to ‘latte art’ to ‘home brewing and extraction.’ check out our classes page for the most updated information.

try to avoid heat, light, moisture, and oxygen to keep your beans at their freshest. our bags are designed for great storage, and we recommend keeping them in a dry, dark pantry for optimal storage. we don’t recommend storing beans in the refrigerator.

Common Voice is the sister brand of 8th & Roast Coffee Co. originally launched by goodcitizen coffee, it is now part of the 8th & roast family when we acquired the brands. common voice provides more people with access to boutique coffee and enables farmers to sell more of their available crops year after year. the resulting blends are produced and processed to the same standards as all our coffees.
