Coffee 101 is 8th & Roast’s unique version of a standard “seed to cup” coffee education course.
The goal of this class is to use 8th & Roast’s first hand experience to educate, as well as provide tangible and delicious examples of the complex journey coffee takes from seed to cup!

HOME ESPRESSO & EXTRACTION is the perfect class for the aspiring espresso aficionado; focusing on dialing in, extraction and taste!
This class will focus on the dialing process and the extraction side of espresso. This class will not focus on latte art, but will rather combine information from both the professional and home espresso world to provide the most comprehensive training possible.
This class will discuss:
- gear recommendations and essentials.
- single dose grinder vs. hopper.
- portafilter baskets.
- distribution techniques, including WDT.
- extraction manipulation to taste.
- troubleshooting.
